Grief as former CJ Willy Mutunga’s son dies.

• Athman Mutunga, former Chief Justice Willy Mutanga’s son dies while in hospital
• Athman passed away while receiving medication at coptic hospital. 

Athman, Willy Mutunga’s son died on Saturday 12th October at coptic hospital while undergoing medical procedures. Many Kenyans, including Chief Justice Martha Koome have so far condoled with the family. Justice Maartha Koome extended her heartfelt condolences to the family, describing the loss as heartbreaking.

“On behalf of the Judiciary family and my own, I offer our deepest condolences to Emoritus Chief Justice Dr.Willy Mutunga and his family on the heartbreaking loss of their beloved son” She said.

In a notice posted on her X, the Chief Justice  affirmed her support to the family and wished them well during the hard time. She assured the Mutunga family that the Judiciary will offer that full support in ensuring that they give their loved one a proper send off.

Athman was ailing from what the family did not want to disclose, but in recent month, he had underwent a total of 4 surgery.
