“Even an injured monkey would defeat him in an election,” Lawyer Miguna Miguna through weight at Ruto’s re-election

Miguna Miguna pointed out President William Ruto’s tactics that may result in his loss in the 2027 election.

He also condemned Kenyans for jeering at the president, proposing a way for them to show their discontent.

He claimed that even a monkey with an injury would win against him in a election.

Miguna Miguna, a lawyer, predicted that President William Ruto will not win the 2027 elections because of his decreasing popularity. The lawyer cautioned President Ruto not to rely on votes from Nyanza and Western regions, as the Luo community would not support him.

Miguna rejected the booing and heckling of leaders, encouraging Kenyans to instead hold them responsible. His remarks came after Ruto was poorly received at Bishop Peter Kimani’s ordination ceremony in Embu on Sunday, November 16. Miguna stated that the president has low chances of being re-elected, indicating that he could be defeated by any rival.

“Ruto is so unpopular all over Kenya, that even an injured monkey would defeat him in an election. Let no one deceive you that Luos or Luhyas will rescue him from the inevitable defeat and jail. Nyanza—especially the Luo Nation—will never support Wiliam Ruto. Don’t be deceived by noise. It’s irretrievably over for Ruto,” he said
He criticised the Kenya Kwanza administration for failing to address the pressing issues facing the country and questioned the legitimacy of allowing such leaders to address public gatherings.
He however called out the behaviour of people boing leaders, saying the leaders needs to be held accountable rather, but not being bullied and booed.
