Given that the church played a significant role in assisting the current government in maintaining control, the Kenya Kwanza administration is facing challenges as its popularity is steadily declining in various organizations.

Following the statement by the Catholic Bishops, the Anglican team leader Jackson Ole Sapit issued a similar statement, expressing support for their Catholic counterparts.

On Sunday, Ruto visited Soweto Catholic Church with Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja to provide a donation for the construction of a bishop’s house. President Ruto contributed a staggering 5.8 million Kenya shillings, whereas Sakaja donated over 200000/. Surprisingly, the church responded with a rejection, stating that they do not want their place of worship to be associated with dishonest leadership and corruption.
