Collins Jumaisi, Main suspect behind the 42 kware murders escapes from Gigiri police. ‘Mchezo ya taoni’.

 

 

  • The prime suspect in the 42 Kware mureders, Collins Jumaisi Khalusi escaped from Gigiri Police Station 
  • The escape was noted during routine checks to the cells by the police constable Mutuku on Tuesday, 20th August 2024.
  • Jumaisi escaped amongst others in a group, including 12 Eritreans who had been held for illegal immigration.

Jumaisi is the prime suspect in the Mukuru, Kware murders where 42 bodies of mostly young women were discovered lifeless at the dumpsite.

The suspected serial killer was arrested early last month following an investigation after the discovery of several bodies at the Kware dumpsite. According to the Police, the suspect killer alongside other suspects escaped through the wire mesh at the basking bay and scaled the perimeter wall.

Officer in charged, Police Constable Gerald Mutuku was making a routine check alongside the canteen manager to serve the suspects with breakfast when he realised something abnormal.

Police Officers amongst them senior ranked officers have since visited the scene to investigated the escape.

Kenyans are puzzled as Gigiri appears to be one of highly secured Police station, considering the fact that the United Nations and The US Embassy borders the Police station.

A fragment of are angered by the escape terming it a calculated move by the government to sanitise itself as most of the believed that Jumaisi was only a sacrificial lamp and indeed there was much more behind the murders.
