Former Government Pathologist and CEO at Embu Hospital Moses Njue dies.

Former Government Pathologist and CEO at Embu Level 5 Teaching and Referral Hospital Moses Njue passed on aged 60.Njue died while undergoing treatment at Imara Private hospital where he had been rushed after he fell ill.

 

Speaking to our sources, Njue’s elder sister Margret Marigu said the deceased woke up ready to go about his usual activities but later became unwell and was rushed to hospital.

 

Following his demise, his body was taken to Kings Funeral home in Mbeere South of Embu County, a morgue the late Njue owned.

 

“It is sad we lost our brother who had some health complications in the last few years of his life,” Marigu said.

 

Embu County Health CEC Francis Ndwiga mourned Njeru as a a great, strong man and a reformist in the health sector.

 

“Njue will be remembered for standing for the truth in the society, a revolutionist in the Embu Level 5 hospital and a strong believer in serving people as a health manager, mentor and church elder and will be missed by many in the health fraternity as a renowned specialist,” Ndwiga said.

 

On her part, former CEC health at the County government of Embu Joan Mwende described Njue as an industrious person who was instrumental in the set up of the Oncology department at the Embu Level 5 teaching and referral hospital.

 

“He was very analytical and would warn me as her boss if we took a wrong direction that we would fail while advising on the best approach of whatever nature in line with his profession that he took seriously,” Mwende said.

 

Though, during his tenure as a government pathologist, Njue was accused of multiple body parts theft but he was later acquitted due to lack of evidence.
