Kenyan-born US politician Momanyi plans to meet leaders from home counties

Kenyan-born Huldah Momanyi, who was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in November, will have a homecoming party in Nyamira County today.

This visit follows her arrival in Kenya from the United States and her attendance at this year’s Jamhuri Day celebrations, which were led by President William Ruto at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi.

Momanyi, 39, subsequently delivered a keynote address on gender-based violence at Daystar University in Nairobi during a gathering of professionals from the Gusii region. She is set to meet Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo in his office to discuss collaboration topics. Key areas for collaboration include education, health, and governance, as stated by Momanyi.

“I’m coming home primarily to explore collaboration opportunities that will enable locals to benefit from interlinked chances within [Kenya] and globally,” she mentioned.

Nyaribo expressed his readiness to lead Nyamira residents in celebrating Momanyi’s achievements in US politics.

“We are very pleased as residents of Nyamira to welcome back our daughter, who has now become a key figure in enhancing our relations with the US,” he remarked.

“We will examine all available pathways that will allow our county to benefit from the partnerships we will establish. ”

The politician is also anticipated to make a courtesy visit to Kisii Governor Simba Arati at a later time.

Hiltsley, 39, moved to the US with her parents when she was nine years old. She was elected to represent Minnesota’s District 38A.
