A lady tax driver went missing on the 25th of September after picking a client from Diani, Mombasa. The lady driver met the client through a mobile app, but resorted to go offline and strike a long distance deal after the clients told her that the wanted to travel to Samburu and back, adding that they would still use her car while in Samburu.

According to her colleagues, the lady received a business offer from some people who approached her to take them to Samburu from Diani.

However, few hours after leaving the port city, her car tracker located the car in Kisumu before going off bringing. The Mamba could not be accessed through her phones neither thus bring suspicion, prompting the family to go report the matter.

Police on Sunday evening apprehended a suspect believed to be behind a ring of carjackers who duped and robbed a lady taxi driver, Victoria Mumbua, who has been missing for five days.

After other drivers from Diani raised the issue on social media, police got wind of the situation as well as the general public.

Later on Sunday, the vehicle was spotted in Nakuru because the number plates had not been changed during the daring ordeal.

Mumbua was found in Migori county, injured and unconscious and was airlifted to Mombasa for further medical treatment. Police have so far apprehended one suspect and are on the look for the suspects linked to the gang robbers. Kenyas appreciated the fact that she was found alive, but still demands for the puportrators to be brought to book.
