In a public endorsement of President William Ruto, Njenga urged the community to come together in support of the government.
This announcement was made during a prayer meeting at the Kabiruini Showground in Nyeri on New Year’s Eve.
In his remarks, Njenga stressed the importance of collaboration between the youth and government leaders to promote grassroots development.
He refuted claims of a political divide in the region following the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, asserting that “the region remains united with the government” and noting that only one individual has left the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Emphasizing youth involvement, Njenga introduced what he referred to as the Kabiruini Declaration, which commits young people in the region to collaborate with the current government.
He stated that achieving development objectives necessitates active support for elected officials and the protection of resources such as the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
During his address, Njenga criticized Gachagua for failing to adequately address issues impacting vital sectors, including coffee and tea, which are essential to the local economy.
