Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz, 35, and his singer partner Zuchu, 30, have ended their relationship after close to three years of being together.
Tanzania’s Zuchu, whose actual name is Zuhura Soud, revealed on her Instagram account, which boasts over 6.4 million followers, that she and Diamond “have amicably chosen to end their relationship.”
Zuchu stated in her Tuesday announcement, “This decision was made mutually by both parties.”
She, nonetheless, disclosed that they have a collaborative project in the works for the near future, and that their supporters should “not be shocked when it comes out.”
Zuchu expressed that she was hoping for “the absolute best” for her former boyfriend, Diamond. The pair began their relationship in early 2022.
Zuchu states that her primary priorities at the moment are “my career and healing.”
Diamond Platnumz, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul Juma, has not yet made a public statement regarding the rumored breakup.
Zuchu was the apprentice of Diamond. In 2020, he signed her to his record label Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) and subsequently guided her to fame.
Kenyans have since commented on the split, pointing out that it is not the first occurrence and that the pair will ultimately reunite. Even though the two made their breakup public on their official pages, numerous people have chosen not to accept it, suggesting that the couple will reunite eventually.
The separation will, nonetheless, not prevent Zuchu from collaborating on a music project with the ‘Yatapita’ hit maker.
