‘Nipeni mwaka mmoja tu’ Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi ask for one year to fix the country’s’ economy.

• Newly appointed Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) John Mbadi vowed to increase the rate in the coming financial year.
• Speaking in Homa Bay County, on Thursday, August 29, Mbadi asked Kenyans to bare with the economy for one year.
• John Mbadi assured Kenyans that after one year they will start reaping from the economy. 

According to The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) data,  Kenya’s economy grew by 5% in the first quarter of 2024

The newly appointed CS promised to increase the rate in the coming financial year.

While addressing the mob during President William Ruto’s visit to Homa Bay county on Thursday, August 29, Mbadi asked Kenyans to give him just one year and the economy will be on the right trajectory. Mbadi assured Kenyans that after one year, Kenyans will reap big from the economy.

Mbadi defended the Bottom up economic model, which has been the Kenya Kwanza manifesto. “I will engage President William Ruto and we will revive the economy. I want to assure Kenyans that the country’s economy will be on the right track… just give me one year, and the second year it will be rolling,”  Mbadi Promised.
