President Ruto Hits Back at Critics: ‘You Will Fail Miserably in Dividing Kenyans’

President William Ruto has once again fired back at his critics, accusing them of attempting to divide Kenyans along regional and tribal lines.

Speaking at Mandera Teachers’ Training College at the start of his three-day tour of the region, Ruto dismissed his opponents as leaderless and lacking a concrete vision for the country. He assured Kenyans that their efforts to sow division would ultimately fail.

“They will fail, and they will fail miserably,” he declared.

Ruto accused his detractors of resorting to divisive politics because they have no real agenda for the country.

“These people have no plan for Kenya. Their only focus is to stir division. But I want to promise you—they will not succeed,” he affirmed.

Accompanied by his deputy, Kithure Kindiki, and several Cabinet Secretaries led by Environment CS Aden Duale, Ruto reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the Northeastern region gets its fair share of national resources. He emphasized that under his leadership, no part of the country would be neglected.

“Northern Kenya is just as important as any other part of our nation. That is why we must connect electricity, expand road networks, provide clean water, and ensure children in this region receive the same opportunities as those elsewhere,” he said.

Ruto’s visit to the North Eastern counties is part of his broader agenda to promote equitable economic development across the country. Local leaders have welcomed the tour, highlighting its significance in addressing long-standing regional challenges.

Eldas MP Adan Keynan described the visit as a game-changer, providing the President with an opportunity to engage with residents and unveil key development projects.

“This visit is crucial for us in North Eastern. It allows the President to connect with the people and launch critical projects that will uplift the region,” Keynan noted.

As the tour continues, all eyes will be on the government’s commitments to the region—and whether the promises made will translate into tangible change.
