President William Ruto visits Embu ahead of Madaraka celebrations.


President William Ruto on Friday morning alongside his deputy Rigathi Gachagua landed at Moi Stadium, Embu County for an economic forum.

 

He however attended the Embu University for Madaraka Day SMEs, Cooperatives, Trade and Revenue Expo.He’s scheduled to open a new wing at Embu Level 5 Hospital and later open Winas Sacco at Embu Town.

 

Ruto will then lay a foundation stone for the new market and for the housing programme at Embu.Also,he will officially open the mega business Expo.

 

The one-week exhibition, which is scheduled to run from May 26 to May 30, is among a series of key events lined up to amplify the theme for this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations.

…And the key focus is on Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, trade and revenue Expo.

 

Ruto’s visit to Embu comes less than a week before the county hosts Kenya’s 60th Madaraka Day celebrations.

The National Celebrations Committee chaired by Internal Security Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo said the celebrations will be held at Moi Stadium in Embu County.
