‘Reject Ruto come 2027 general elections’, Wiper leader Kalonzo urges

Reject Ruto in 2027 elections, urges Kalonzo

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAPK) counterpart Eugene Wamalwa called on Kenyans to unite, make sacrifices, and resist the punitive tax policies of the Kenya Kwanza government by voting out Mr. William Ruto in 2027.

During an address in Nyamira County, Kalonzo criticized Ruto’s management of the economy over his one-and-a-half years in power, warning that re-electing him for another five years could result in an unprecedented economic crisis. While inaugurating a new Wiper party branch office, he drew parallels with former Liberian President George Weah, who faced rejection by voters after damaging the country’s economy.

The former Vice President urged Kenyans to follow the example of Liberians and remove Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza government in the upcoming elections. He asserted that the Ruto administration had turned many Kenyans into beggars through harsh taxation, a trend that must be resisted for the public to overcome current economic difficulties.

Kalonzo accused Ruto of ascending to power via false promises aimed at marginalized groups, such as boda boda riders and market vendors. He claimed that instead of improving their lives, Ruto imposed punitive taxes after winning the election. “I am urging Kenyans to rise up and safeguard our country from destruction due to the punitive taxes enforced by President Ruto,” he declared. Kalonzo and his associates criticized the Kenya Kwanza government for its ineffective policies, particularly concerning taxation.
