Ms. Nancy noted that completion of 1.3 billion academic library complex which has been pending since January 2021  still lies in limbo.

In her report. Ms. Nancy warned that they was a material misstatement of the financial statement, which could be out of fraud or error. The report also indicated among other issues, non payment of part time lecturers, non compliance with the law academic expenses and non compliance with the law on ethnic composition.

The ‘goldmine of knowledge’ was recently on  the limelight yet again after their student representative asked President Ruto to provide them with security while they go to watch football at night.  The president had invited university students leaders and other higher education stakeholders at a town hall meeting to discuss about the controversial new student funding model.

While given a chance to ask the president a question regarding the funding model, the Rongo university student leader decided to deviate from the topic and asked about security.

Whereas security has been of great concern at the university, the student leader presented the issue in manner that made him look a joker. He asked the President if learners from the university can be provided with security while going to watch football games at night.
