Every election cycle in Kenya brings with it its fairs share of personalities that emerge out of the blues into the limelight, either because of what they do or what they say.
While reporting from Uasin Gishu County at around 5am on Tuesday August 9th, Citizen TV’s Chemutai Goin sought the opinion of area residents on whether they felt security had been boosted to their satisfaction and if they felt the election was going to be free and fair.
“Kuna watu ambao walikuwa na hisia tofauti kuhusu labda usalama ikiwa umeimarishwa, ikiwa uchaguzi huu utakuwa huru na haki, je wewe kama mpiga kura ambaye umefika tayari kupiga kura, maoni yako ni yepi?” Posed Goin.
She then approached one of the residents on the line who calmly responded saying: “Kulingana na mimi, sina maoni. Sina maoni kabisa.”
The man’s shy response, which cracked up a fellow voter behind him in line, has since elicited a multitude of responses online, among them joking about it.”Yaani ata baada ya “Kulingana na mimi”..local.man hakua na maoni!”, one of the fans joked.
