‘No one should live in fear’ – Gideon Moi Condemns Rising Killings in Kenya.

Kenya African National Union (KANU) party leader Gideon Moi has strongly condemned the surge in brutal killings across the country, calling for swift government action to restore safety.

In a statement shared on his official X account on Thursday, October 24, 2024, the former Senator of Baringo County expressed deep concern over the increasing insecurity, particularly citing the disturbing rise in femicides and abductions.

Insecurity Crisis
Moi emphasized that the recent spike in violent crimes is undermining the nation’s security and instilling fear among citizens. “No Kenyan should ever feel unsafe walking our streets or going about their daily lives,” he stated, urging the government to bolster security efforts and ensure public safety.

He also conveyed his condolences to families affected by the violence and called for a renewed focus on securing public spaces and improving law enforcement.

“It is the government’s duty to ensure that every Kenyan can live without fear, and this right must be protected at all costs,” Moi concluded.
