President Ruto Calls for Unity: ‘No More Tribalism, Only One Team for Kenya’s Future’

President William Ruto has reiterated his commitment to ending division, hatred, and tribalism in Kenya, calling for national unity to propel the country’s development.

Speaking during a project launch, Ruto urged all leaders and citizens to come together and collaborate toward a shared goal of advancing the nation. He highlighted the progress made by leaders from the Western region working alongside him, stressing that such unity would ensure better access to quality education for Kenyan children.

The President also emphasized collective efforts to enhance agriculture, extend electricity connections across the country, and foster overall development.

“Kenya no longer wants divisions, hatred, or tribalism. Let’s unite as one team. Despite our political differences, like with Raphael Wanjala from ODM and Paul Otwoma, we have decided to work together. Our focus is on educating your children, improving agriculture, connecting electricity, and planning for development so Kenya can move forward. We have no need for divisions or tribalism,” Ruto said.

The Head of State was speaking at the launch of the River Nzoia flood control project extension in Budalang’i. He was joined by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

Ruto and his deputy are currently on a five-day tour of the Western Kenya region. As the President continues his efforts to unite the country, Kenyans are left to reflect on the power of collective action for a prosperous and inclusive future.
