Linet Chepkorir aka Toto has once again gone viral after being declared by the IEBC as the winner of the Bomet woman rep seat.Toto won with a landslide of 242,775 votes, with her challenger Alice Migo garnering 42,171 votes.
Linet took to her Twitter account to thank God for her win and pledge she won’t let Bomet voters down.
“We have WON! Thank you very much to the Residents of Bomet for giving me the mandate to contest for Women Rep seat on UDA ticket. I am a testimony to God’s greatness. God bless you. I love you. Kongoi, ” she said.
Else where 24-year-old Abraham Osoi Orikai MCA-elect for Matapato North ward on a Wiper ticket became the youngest Kajiado politician.
Osoi, a graduate of KCA University and an accountant by profession recounts the hurdles he has endured in his political journey.He entirely focused on the door-to-door campaigns due to a lack of financial muscle but remained steadfast and focused.
Speaking in an interview at the Maasai Technical Training Institute tallying centre shortly after being declared the winner by the centre Returning Officer Mugo Ngunjiri, Osoi challenged youthful persons to join politics.
“I am grateful to God and to the voters of my ward. I am humbled by the unconditional support I have received from my voters. I look forward to striving to prove youth leaders can deliver by striving my best in all endeavours to bring development to my ward,” Osoi says.
