Inauma, but… new level, new devil, new glory! Christina Shusho’s ex-husband hits back.

Pastor John Shusho has responded to his estranged wife, celebrated Tanzanian gospel singer Christina Shusho, regarding her reasons for leaving their marriage.

A few days ago, Ms. Shusho, who has captivated Kenyan audiences, disclosed that she sought separation from her husband and father of their three children to fulfill what she believed was God’s calling.

In an interview with Jerusalem Church TV, she stated, “Let me be frank, I have never lied and I don’t lie. The truth is that it’s a mission. There is nothing else. The mission that God has given me in this season cannot allow me to stay where I was. I had to leave to fulfill the assignment.” She also mentioned that her departure was amicable.

However, during a recent church crusade, Pastor Shusho addressed his wife’s comments, expressing deep hurt over her decision to leave. He shared during a sermon, “Tell your neighbor that it hurts, but God has ordained it. He will always prepare you for what is to come tomorrow. To get to a new level, you have to go through some challenges to prepare you for what is to come. You can never win without entering a contest. New level, new devil, new glory. When you come to a new level, you will face certain challenges, but God will always prepare you to overcome them for the season to come.”

The preacher added, “Sometimes the preparation may not be what you expected or anticipated, and because you never anticipated these new challenges, you will have to go through pain, you will be hurt, but God always has a purpose for that pain. The pain is to mold you, to make you better than you were before.”

In recent years, Christina has been vocal about her marriage, unlike her husband. She has openly expressed regret about marrying young at the age of 19. Additionally, she has criticized her husband’s family, mentioning that upon marriage, she found herself not only serving her husband but also his eight other siblings, leading her to question the marriage.
