Corruption claims top list in DP Gachagua impeachment motion

Removal of the President or the deputy president by impeach is a fundament constitutional proviso under article 150 of the constitution of Kenya 2010. Bedeviling the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is his impeachment motion which was table on Monday evening by MP for Kibwezi West. One may ask, what happened behind the curtain? of a marriage that looked so prefect and coinvent for changes under the hustler narrative?

Today in Kenyas politics the Deputy President faces a major tussle, one of its kind and the first since the birth of the new constitution in 2010. DP Rigathi Gachagua now faces the hurdle of clearing his name and survive the three years remaining or go home, lose his job and probably his entire political carrier.

Among the list of counts that the Deputy president is charged with, toping the list is graft allegations, with a number of cases attached. He has only ben in office for 2 years and, making 12 millions a year culminates to on 24 millions, begging the question as to where he had acquired properties with billions of shillings within the period he was in office.

The Deputy president is alleged to have use influence under his office, to cut deals that has costed Kenyans billions of shillings in taxpayers money. Amongst the name properties are several hotels scattered around Malindi, Nairobi and Mombasa. Several Rental houses in the capital of Kenya, parcels of lands in different parts of the country including Nyeri, Nyahururu among other places.
