This change follows the party’s merger with Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC party. UDA Chairperson, Governor Cecily Mbarire, announced the change, assuring members that efforts are underway to enhance the party.
Kindiki was appointed as deputy party leader just two months ago after his predecessor, Rigathi Gachagua, was removed from the second highest office and subsequently excluded from the political alliance.
Cecily Mbarire announced the changes on Friday, indicating that the merger would impact internal structures and leadership within the party and the broader Kenya Kwanza coalition.
The Embu Governor emphasized that this move aims to foster an inclusive entity that promotes unity and democracy, asserting that the merger would lead to a change in the UDA faction’s name, logo, symbol, and overall brand.
