Victoria, a Mombasa based tax driver went missing on September 25th after picking up clients who made a ride request from Mombasa to Samburu.
Soon after picking the clients and negotiating theĀ deal, Victoria Mumbua left Diani to Samburu. However, a few hours later, her phone went off and her family could not reach her.
Her car was found in Nakuru town three days later, which led to arrest of one o f the suspects gang team. On 1st of October, police claimed to have found Mumbui alive, though unconscious, but soon after, they refuted the claims, saying she was confused for someone else.
on @nd October, a female body believed to be that of Victoria Mumbua was discovered at the city mortuary. The body was found in a thicket within Mai Mahiu area, in Kiambu county following an intense interrogation of the main suspect, Edwin Ng’etich.
Victoria body was discovered at City mortuary on 2 October, where it is claimed to have been brought of 29 September. Detectives grilled the main suspects in the case, and after intense interrogation, the suspect opened up to the detectives and led the police to the location where they had dumped the body.
Further investigation reports point that Edwin had committed similar crimes in the past. Police have planned for postmortem of the body to determine the actual cause of the death.
