Bravo! Joe Biden Applauds Kenyan Police for Bringing Stability to War-Torn Haiti.

United States President Joe Biden has expressed confidence in the Kenyan police contingent deployed to Haiti, stating that they are capable of curbing the gang violence currently plaguing the Caribbean nation.

Speaking at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Biden commended the Kenyan forces for their efforts in restoring peace in Haiti. He highlighted the importance of missions like the Multinational Security Support (MSS) in promoting stability in conflict zones.

“The UN Security Council must return to its core mission of fostering peace and ending wars. Reforms are necessary to expand its membership and bring in new perspectives. We support the Kenyan-led mission in Haiti as they work alongside the Haitian people to restore peace,” Biden stated.

The US President also reiterated America’s commitment to collaborating with the United Nations in peacekeeping efforts worldwide, emphasizing the need for long-term solutions to global violence.

Biden’s remarks come shortly after Kenyan President William Ruto called for an extension of the MSS mandate during his address to the UN Security Council. Ruto urged the international community to intensify support for the mission, noting that the Kenyan-led efforts had begun to yield positive results in Haiti.
