Activist Kasmuel Macoure put down a very cryptic message of gratitude to Hon Raila Odinga amid his public backlash.

The activist has sworn to stay by Railas side and willing to pay the price that it embodies.

Here is what the Activist had to say about former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

“Baba, the moment I embraced my identity as a Luo man, some of the so-called ‘tribeless’ Kenyans hurled every filthy, stereotypical insult they had reserved for our people.

To some, I am only worthy of praise when I criticize you—when I turn a blind eye to the sacrifices you’ve made and the wealth of wisdom you offer. After spending time with you, one question lingers: How can a man so great be so deeply misunderstood? I refuse to distance myself from one of our greatest leaders just to seek approval online.

I will not abandon a man who understands my struggles, who has walked the same path, and is willing to guide me through the complexities of our land’s politics. I will not betray the knowledge you carry. I will not spite you, Baba.

I will not insult a legend who has welcomed me into his home, shared meals, and hours of conversation. I will not turn away from Mama Ida’s kindness and counsel. I choose to walk under your guidance in the quest for a better republic.

If there is a price to be paid, I will gladly bear it. For too long, we’ve asked you to do things for us; what can we now do for you, Baba? I reject the fleeting whims of naysayers who wish you failure.
