“Nliongelea  Bibi Mdogo na Mkuu” Maverick Aoko spills the bean behind her arrest.

• Aoko was arrested on Friday 16th August 2024 and detained at Muthaiga Police Station. 
• The arrest came after a series of post that she  made online especially on X. 
• She appeared before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitumbi today where she was changed with cyber harassment, freed on 100,000 cash bail

Maverick Aoko is one of the contravercial critical tweep who never fails to impress. She has been in the for front in exposing scandalous and corrupt individuals in the government. Aoko, who most Kenyans feel he goes overboard and crosses the line in her tweets says that whatever she posts is true and best to her knowledge as she has intel on everything she post.

Aoko was picked at her home by almost 100 officers on Friday 16th August 2024 and taken to Muthaiga police, where she is allegedly charged with cyber harassment. In short interview while at the police custody,  Aoko said that she was arrested because of “kuongelea bibi mdogo na mkuu” and Kenyans can’t fail to speculate who is this bibi mdogo.

Aoko was arraigned before court on mayday and freed on 100,000 cash bail. However, the court said her confiscated phones and laptops are exhibits and can’t be released at this time.

Aoko faced two other counts of publishing false information and fraudulent use social spaces.
